On the highest top of the island of Marstrand lies Carlstens Fortress. For more than 300 years this large grey guardian has protected the small wooden city below. The Fortress was in the past days associated with battles, captivity and fear. Nowadays it is associated with fabulous feasts, dinners and conferences and today the Fortress outlines the famous contours of the island.

The Hall of knights, the Gunpowder tower, the Battery hall, the Weapon house and Lasse-Maja’s kitchen. On their own, the names of the rooms we can offer you take you far from everyday life.

Carlstens Fortress accepts groups from 20 up to 1500 guests.
