Since
1982 the fortress has annually set up historical events. Here the entire
family, amongst soldiers, prisoners and all sorts of odd people, can
experience what the fortress looked like during the 18th and
19th centuries.
During the tour with the fortresses’ own Commandant you will meet prisoners wearing chains and shackles. In the prisoners’ yard Lasse-Maja tells both true and untrue stories about his life and times. Out on the large courtyard the gunpowder smoke lays thick while two dozens of Karolinian soldiers exercise. Further up in the fortress you never know what might happen… Note: The tours are given in Swedish |
