Our fortress events, with marching Karolinian soldiers, the thundering of muskets being fired, and the sharp smell of gunpowder smoke is a unique and very appreciated experience.

The fortress event is, in other words, the perfect way to start an unforgettable evening. At the Kings gate you are greeted by the officer in charge who leads you to your dining room. Soldiers perform the loading and firing of an old flintlock musket from the 18^th century.

During the tour through the fortress, over the windy courtyard and through narrow passages, you will hear the brutal and fascinating history of Carlstens Fortress.

To the event you can add drummers, more soldiers and echoing salutes performed by real black powder cannons. You can also let a flag bearer and soldiers meet you down on the docks for a safe escort up to the fortress.
