Guided tours
If you
would like to book a guided tour of the Fortress in english, simply call
our Fortress expedition at +46 (0)303 602 65. We can also arrange guided
tours with uniformed guides, welcome drinks and salutes with either
muskets or cannons. |
Walking around on your own
Having
entered the fortress you can explore it on your own if you want to. Around
the fortress there are many signs, both in Swedish and English, telling
you a lot about what happened in the fortress long ago. In the entry hall
you can also purchase guide books with lots of history to be read. If you
have guests visiting from other countries, there are guide papers
available in many different languages.

The
Audio Guide
If you would want to get to
know more about the fortress on your visit, you can lend an Audio Guide in
the Fortress reception. Basically, this is a portable guide with
headphones guiding you through the Fortress, telling you of its exciting
history. To lend the Audio Guide is free of charge, as long as you can
leave some form of deposit.
